The Courtyard held their Party on January 14th at Thunderbay in Rockford, IL. We missed Patti & Ron and were anxious to see them again. The night started off with a delicious dinner after which Patti & Ron presented gifts to everyone.

Following their presentation Music Express started the entertainment. Everyone was anxious for Patti to do her song "Like A Virgin". I think it's her "oh oh oh oh oh oh " that causes the audience to roar with laughter. Once again we played the game we call "Doh Art". We gave people a can of Play Doh and instructed them to make a sculpture. This year Patti & Ron couldn't decide between the rose sculpture and the palm tree with a little pink flamingo sitting in front of it so the artists of both sculptures won a prize. Everyone enjoyed dancing and singing. In fact even the staff at Thunderbay joined in the party by dancing and singing along with us.

Kathy did another special song for Ron. This year she sang the Aretha Franklin's song RESPECT for him. She was sad to hear that this will be Ron's last year here at the Courtyard. He will be transferring to the hotel located in Naperville Illinois.

Music Express wants to say a big "THANK YOU" to Patti and Ron for inviting us back again this year. We wish you all a great year and look forward to seeing you again.
